To all, this is to inform that I'll be posted in VSL Singapore starting from the 1-Feb-2009 over looking the repair & strengthening portfolio for the Asiapac region.

Anchor Bolt Replacement

We have so far to date replaced a total of 13 nos of anchor bolts and will complete the remaining 4 nos in due course. VSL... way to go!!!

Anchor Bolt Replacement

Currently my company has been awarded the contract to replace 17 nos corroded anchor bolts at a refinery. Work is slow but on-going i must say.

String of Events

Wedding was on the 2-Nov-08...... followed by my wife's side reception at Kluang on the 8-Nov-08......... and the grand finale was my side reception at Marco Polo on the 15-Nov-08. Four events, inlcuding the ponnuruku was extremely tiring... thnaks to my family members: parents, brother & sister.

Ponnurukku

Gold melting ceremony....... held prior to the wedding witnessed by family & relatives. Just finished today.. started at 10:15am and ended at 11:15am.... bride's representatives arrived early around 9am.

Well everything went on well... a big thank you to parents, sibling, cousins, neighbours, uncles & aunties.

Thank you all once again.

Blast Mitigation

Off to Kemaman on Thursday (9Oct08) and back in Friday(10Oct08).

Blast Mitigation

From structural repair & strengthening..... I'm moving into blast mitigation for Petronas. Next week will be at a Petronas facility with Dr. Mark & Ir. TK Lim to look at the structure to be made blast resistant & blast resilience.

ISO

Got to finish up the ISO for first half of 2008. Vignesh will be helping me out on this. Trust me... there is a lot of paper work on this!!!!

Fire proofing site visit to PPMSB

After the much awaited site visit since the last at Kerteh, PPM has finally called VSL for a site visit to their plant next Monday... but since I've a pre planned meeting with HSSI on Monday, I've proposed to PPMSB to have a site visit on the following day... awaiting their conformation.

Base Plate @ ASE Penang

A happy client is one who calls you back to do the next job for him!!! in this case VSL has made ASE happy. After our load test, we have been called to install base plates for their new machines.
I have managed to solve their problem at site by proposing to use drop-in anchors instead of coring and installing hold bown bolts as well as not to epoxy glue the plate to the floor to facilitate future shifting. A plywood template was also designed by me in order that ASE can use that as a guide to drill holes for the deop-in anchors.

Wedding Cards

1-September-08, collected wedding card from the printers.... exactly 2 months before the big day......... time to deliver the card!!!

Back from Penang & ISO

One whole week.... yup one whole week I was in Penang carrying out a load test.... results... were ok... pretty good i must say..... now that the client is happy... looks like I've to go again as they have another job for me waiting.

Now back in the office... need to sort out the ISO things all.....hmmmmm

Fire-proofing

New travel plan....... of to Gebeng and then to Kerteh... visiting MTBE, PDH & KR-2 aromatics for fire-proofing works. Departing KL at 6:30am on 11th August 2008 and returning on 12th August 2008 late night.

Hoping to secure this fire-prrofing project for VSL....

Back in the office

It feels real good to be back in the office ....... only until my next trip out!!!!!

Travelling Nalla

Left KL @ 6am... fueled up along MRR.... stopped for a break @ Gambang RR... reached Kemaman at 9:15am..... Whew what a long drive.... next to JB and the following week again to Kerteh.....

Petronas

National Oil Company in Malaysia. Currently doing quite a number of work with Petronas Penapisan Melaka, Petronas Gas Kerteh & Petronas Gas CUF Gebeng. Will be travelling next week to Petronas for two days from 29-30 Jul 2008. This trip will be to look at fire-proofing (PDH, KR-2 Aromatic & EMSB), blast resilience (Petronas Gas Kerteh) & pedestal repair (Petronas CUF Gebeng).

Repair, Strengthening, Evaluation, Fire-proofing, Water-proofing

All in a days work. I'm currently with VSL in Malaysia specializing in Repair & Strengthening of concrete structure, Condition Evaluation of damaged & deteriorated concrete structure, fire-proofing, water-proofing sub station roof.

Currently also looking into anchor bolt replacement, submerged tank reinstatement and chemical pipe surveillance.

Okay... registration is over and now for the real stuff.... my wedding..... it is scheduled to be held on the 2nd November 2008 (10am-12noon) at PJ Hindu Temple (PJ Pilayar Temple) which is located next to Assunta Hospital and opposite the hockey stadium. See you'll there!!!
