Blast Mitigation

From structural repair & strengthening..... I'm moving into blast mitigation for Petronas. Next week will be at a Petronas facility with Dr. Mark & Ir. TK Lim to look at the structure to be made blast resistant & blast resilience.

Got to finish up the ISO for first half of 2008. Vignesh will be helping me out on this. Trust me... there is a lot of paper work on this!!!!

Fire proofing site visit to PPMSB

After the much awaited site visit since the last at Kerteh, PPM has finally called VSL for a site visit to their plant next Monday... but since I've a pre planned meeting with HSSI on Monday, I've proposed to PPMSB to have a site visit on the following day... awaiting their conformation.

Base Plate @ ASE Penang

A happy client is one who calls you back to do the next job for him!!! in this case VSL has made ASE happy. After our load test, we have been called to install base plates for their new machines.
I have managed to solve their problem at site by proposing to use drop-in anchors instead of coring and installing hold bown bolts as well as not to epoxy glue the plate to the floor to facilitate future shifting. A plywood template was also designed by me in order that ASE can use that as a guide to drill holes for the deop-in anchors.
